A Totally Wicked Manifesto
Hey everyone!
I am so excited to finally share what I have been working on with you.
Today, I am starting a website called The Wicked Weekend. It’s a travel blog that focuses on the sights and sounds of New England.
If you know me, you know that I love travel. Whether it is visiting a beautiful destination, trying a new local delicacy, or meeting interesting people, most of the most incredible experiences of my life have occurred while traveling.
If there is one thing travel has taught me, it is just how special a place New England is. My home region is has the characteristics of food, local culture, and breathtaking landscapes that make for an incredible destination. Its unique identity truly makes it a top place to visit and explore, whether you are local or from across the globe.
With this blog, I am going to give the know-how and know-where that you need to have a confident and awesome travel experience, whether it’s in New England or anywhere else. We need more reasons to travel and fewer reasons not to and lack of travel knowledge or confidence isn’t going to be one on my watch! It will be a guide to the truly unique and special experiences New England has to offer.
The idea behind the name “Wicked Weekend” comes from the idea of focusing on bite-sized day and weekend trips around New England, but the content on this site will not be limited to this.
I hope this blog gives locals the knowledge they need to keep up with the exciting things going on around them and not-so-locals new reasons to come visit. Do you know someone who is totally in-tune with their community, can recommend the best restaurants, always knows exactly where to go for something, or knows exactly what sorts of events are happening each weekend? The goal of this website is to deliver the same value.
I really envision this website as an easy to access digital resource full of advice and goings on that you wont want to miss out on. As well, I hope this website helps our truly special small business owners and encourages more people to come visit New England. Quite frankly, there are so many great places here that need a little more light shone on them and I’m determined to make it happen!
Definitely stay tuned for city and region guides, travel gear reviews, recipes, and a storie or two a long the way.
Lastly and most importantly, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my first blog post. Leave a comment if you enjoyed my first post or have any questions! They are all appreciated.
