Travel Gift Guide: Black Friday Edition
Great deals on Black Friday travel gifts
Travel gear can be pricey. Black Friday is usually the best time to pick up all the gear you’ve been eyeing.
Most of use are longing for the first trip we can take without fear of COVID or the associated travel restrictions. I can think of fewer things better than enhancing that experience for a loved one by making their travels less stressful, more convenient, and better prepared with some quality travel gear.
I am a big fan of truly useful products like these so I have been keeping an eye out on Black Friday deals. Most of the deals below are amongst the best prices I have seen on these items and the pricing should remain available for the coming few days.
As well, when you use some of these links below, I may make a small commission when you purchase a product.

Eagle Creek Pack-It Specter Compression Cubes
RAVPower 65W 4-Port Desktop USB Charging Station (2x USB-C and 2x USB-A)
Simplify your packing and lighten your load for your next trip. This charger from RAVPower has enough ports and charging capability to charge most laptops with USB-C charging (like the Macbook Air and Pro) while fast charging your iPhone, Android phone, tablet, Nintendo Switch, and wireless headphones.
Peak Design Everyday Sling v2 (10L, 6L, or 3L)
With fannypacks being ever so trendy, the Peak Design Everyday Sling is a great, stylish, and well made solution for traveling or errands alike. I have personally owned and used the older 5L v1 model and found it quite handy when I was bringing my crop sensor dSLR around town.
The Everyday Sling has a handy slidestrap adjustment feature that make it easy to fit snug to yourself and pull to the back or front when worn on your shoulders and waist. This means you wont have to take the entire thing off to get what you need from inside or pull to the front of you in areas you suspect might have pickpocketters.
It even has ant-theft measures on the front zippers and a hidden pocket.
It comes in 3L, 6L, and 10L sizes. I think that 3L will be fine for people who just want a nicer way to bring around their everyday carry, while 6L and 10L will be better for photographers with more gear. The Peak Design website (linked below) has tons of great resources and a handy guide to help you decide which size is best for your needs.
Hydro Flask Water Bottle – Standard Mouth Flex Lid 24oz
It is durable and keeps liquids cold better than any other bottle I’ve tried, even bulkier insulated ones. Normally overpriced, this is a great gift to pick up on Black Friday for just about anyone.
